And to rule over the day and over the night and to divide the light from darkness and God saw that it was good. I won’t talk about asylum law, but I want to talk about particularly the policy behind asylum law in our country. This country, the United States of America is a country of inclusion. We want we’re a country of immigrants and we want to include other people, other cultures. It’s diverse, very diverse country. And that’s not a bad word. It’s a good word. And we’ve always been like this, we are the beacon of the world. This is where everybody wants to come because of the freedom and the opportunities. And so this country has always had a policy of bringing people in and asylum law kind of interested in where. Enters into the picture where you have folks that have a general or a legitimate situation, I need. They’re being persecuted in their own country. They have nowhere to go. They’re in trouble. If they get sent back to their own country, they’ll get killed or or tortured or whatever. And this country is our country is a good country, and we look at that and we allow folks that have legitimate. Claims to come in to be protected, to find refuge in our country, and that’s a good thing, and it’s based on our Christian heritage or our beliefs, our culture in that sense, and that’s a really good thing. And so as far as our asylum policy, that’s that’s always been it’s a it’s a really good thing. It’s what makes America America. And so now if you want to dove deeper and look at the actual tick tock of that black letter law, we get into a host of different areas and some legitimate and maybe some questionable. Whereas, you know, what are the basics of asylum law? You’re looking to get folks in here that are have a well-founded fear of being persecuted for a membership, an explicit group or political opinion, race, religion, status. So look different. The laws changed over the years it’s gotten away from. More strictly wartime persecution or persecution by the government or for different means, but anyways, at its heart, the policy is a good policy and the way the way it’s come along over the years in the way it is and the current structure of the law today can be debated.
